Hemis, The Drukpa monastery located on the other side of the river Indus is the biggest Drukpa Monastery and is well known for the world famous Hemis Festival and the auspicious Thanka Painting, opened to public once in 12 years attracting world over tourists. After pack / hot lunch at Hemis drive back to Leh. Overnight at hotel, Leh.</p> <p> <span>DAY 03: Leh – Magnetic hill – Sangam ALCHI- Leh (60 kms)</span> Drive to western part of Ladakh and follow the Indus river and stop at the magnetic hill where you can see the vehicle pulled up hill, even after engine switched off. 10 minutes from there will lead you to the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers. Later return back by the same route towards Leh.
